Georgetown Prep School is excited to announce a partnership regarding the operation of the tennis facility with the goal of continuing to operate a year-round tennis program, including an indoor facility on a seasonal basis that will serve our student-athletes as well as the Tennis Club members.  Marco Impeduglia, Georgetown Prep Class of 2005, is the founder and owner of ProsToYou Tennis and TennisTopia.  He will be assuming the role of Operator of the Georgetown Prep Tennis Club.  Under Marco's visionary leadership, the tennis club is poised to undertake several transformative initiatives rooted in our Jesuit mission and commitment to give back to our local communities.

Marco, in collaboration with Georgetown Prep’s leadership, will continue the tradition of tennis at Prep with a new, state-of-the-art indoor seasonal tennis bubble starting in January 2025. As Marco’s plan states, he and his staff will provide the following services:

Tennis Programming for the Prep Community:
Our goal is to enrich Georgetown Prep's athletic experience by offering complimentary, inclusive tennis clinics, camps, exposure events, and tournaments for faculty, staff, and students.  This comprehensive program includes group classes, court time, specialized outings, and discounted rates for group clinics and lessons.  Dedicated court time will be allocated for open play, ensuring ample opportunities for participation and skill development. 

Georgetown Prep’s Varsity & JV Tennis Teams:
We are committed to supporting Georgetown Prep's student-athletes by providing complimentary year-round developmental programming in alignment with the school's Jesuit mission.  This includes covering all costs associated with team uniforms, equipment, coaches’ stipends, and practice/home match tennis balls for JV and Varsity teams.  Additionally, we will organize annual team retreats and community service initiatives to foster academic, athletic, and personal growth.

Collaborations and Partnerships:
We aim to establish Georgetown Prep Tennis Club as a premier tournament destination by partnering with USTA Mid-Atlantic, USTA National, and ITF to host numerous prestigious tournaments, including the Citi Open WildCard Challenge.  We will also introduce international summer tennis camps with accommodations, attracting global students and showcasing Georgetown Prep's exceptional facilities. These initiatives will position Georgetown Prep as a hub for tennis excellence and cultural exchange.Commencing December 2024, Marco and his team are delighted to announce the introduction of an array of new tennis offerings, including personalized lessons, group clinics tailored for juniors and adults, and the seasonal indoor court time in our state-of-the-art tennis bubble over the six clay courts.

With Marco at the helm, the Georgetown Prep Tennis Club is set to embark on an exciting new chapter. His innovative approach and dedication to the community promise to elevate the club's offerings and reinforce its reputation as a leading institution for tennis and pickleball. We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of his leadership on the Georgetown Prep community.

Georgetown Prep School Special Indoor Court Access - 

Regular Indoor Season (September 1 - May 30):

• Monday through Friday: 3 courts available from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Spring Break (March 15 - March 30): 6 courts available from Friday to Tuesday.

Evening Hours:

• Monday through Friday: 3 courts available from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Access Details:

• Current GPS Students and Staff: Free access to the indoor courts within the specified times. During regular indoor hours, access is restricted to current students and staff only.
• "Spot" Time: Availability for court use with a maximum of 30 minutes' notice. This is also limited to current students and staff.
• Guests: Family members, friends, and alumni of students and staff are subject to standard court fees.

Georgetown Prep School Special Outdoor Court Access - 

During School Sessions (September 1 - May 30):

• Available Courts: 3 outdoor, hard-surface courts available from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Priority: GPS athletic programs have priority access to all 6 outdoor hard-surface courts for organized practices and scheduled team matches during these times.

Summer Access:

• When GPS Summer Camp and ESL Programs are in Session: A maximum of 6 hard-surface outdoor courts will be available each weekday afternoon (approximately 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) at no cost to GPS programs or the Prep.
